About Us

The Center UEBERLEBEN is an umbrella brand of human rights organizations based in Berlin and northern Iraq, working in national and international projects.
In close cooperation we aim to give refugees, migrants and victims of violence the chance to have a dignified future.

In many different countries throughout the world, people continue to be systematically abused. Each year, the Center UEBERLEBEN helps around 1000 adults and children who have experienced persecution, war and violence.

Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

More than 40 million people all over the world are forced to leave their homes due to political, ethnic or religious reasons. The Center UEBERLEBEN provides assistance and integration programs for refugees from over 60 nations.

No one shall be subjected to torture or inhuman treatment.

People are tortured and abused in every second country in the world. The Center UEBERLEBEN provides medical, psychotherapeutic and social help for survivors of torture.

Children must be protected from all forms of physical or mental violence.

Most of the acts of violence against children and adolescents go unnoticed. The Center UEBERLEBEN provides therapies for these young victims and works towards prevention of domestic violence.

Everyone has the right to education.

Many migrants have difficulties with integrating into their new society. The Center UEBERLEBEN offers vocational training as well as provides contacts for further training and employment.
