Sanakun Bikhayr

Educational empowerment program for women

What is Sanakun Bikhayr?

The informative self-help program Sanakun Bikhayr was designed for Arabic-speaking women who have experienced harassment or assault. In the self-help program, women receive information on the effects of these harassments and assaults on their mental health and initial suggestions on how to deal with these painful experiences.

What is sexualized violence and why does nobody talk about it – even though one in three women is a victim of sexualized violence? Why do I feel guilt, shame or fear? And what does my body have to do with it?  With the help of information, small interactive exercises and realistic stories from four women Sarah, Mariam, Danya and Maya, the program gets to the bottom of these questions.

Have you experienced a form of sexual violence yourself or do you know someone close to you who went through this experience? Are you wondering how to deal with this painful experience and the difficult feelings? Then you are not alone!

You have the option of either clicking through the material on your own or you can participate in a course guided by our moderators.

In both cases, registration is free and anonymous.
